The information on this page is strictly based on our last big event and is subject to change at any moment. We've put this here to give you an idea of how our Festival is set up. This notice will be removed when official current information is available.

The OtherWorlds Festival brings together the general public
with costumed fantasy enthusiasts and Otherkin who just want to let loose and be themselves.

After a 5-year run (and an annual participation of around 2,000 folks rock!!!) as the Phoenix Faerie Festival, we've been called to broaden our appeal to the various other subcultures who call Phoenix home, such as the Otherkin, Steampunks, Pirates, Furries, Vampyres, Zombies, and Cosplayers.

Our Festival provides vending, live music and performances, and our very own Great Grand Goblin Gala.

Recommended themes for vending merchandise includes: angels, books, comics, cosplay, costuming, dance, Earth consciousness, Faeries, fantasy, dragons, ghosts, holiday, monsters, mythology, New Age, Pirates, role-playing, scifi, steampunk, super heroes and villains, vampires, were-creatures, wizards, and/or zombies.

Most of the proceeds from the Festival are donated to Kids Need to Read.

Vending Information

The OtherWorlds Festival encourages groups of participants to form up in Factions. Each Faction has a celebrity face and a core of character actors at its center. Vendors can request to be placed near a Faction, forming a thematic continuity. We ask our Vendors to dress in a costume appropriate to one of the many groups.

  • The Nest – The Vampyres and Unseelie Faerie folk have built their own place of refuge from the sun above. When darkness descends, they may make more bold forays into the rest of the Festival.
  • Wyzard Alley – A mystical bazaar where the magickal and heathen communities are well represented.
  • Pirates Landing – The Dread Fleet has made landfall with trunks of merchandise acquired by questionable means.
  • Wyldskin Den – The Beastfolk, shapeshifters, and other animals that walk like men lair near dealers who claim to have the products to give you fur, scales, or feathers to become more like themselves.
  • Sprockettvale – Steampunk clothing, accessories, and artwork abound in the bastion of the Chrononauts.
  • Greenbriar – A long way from their verdant homes, the Good Folk of the Seelie Court offer those items essential to the light Faeries.
  • Now Town – For legends from this and last century. Digital Age, Lovecraft, OZ, Superheroes and SciFi find their place here.
  • The Hereafter – Where representatives of the beloved dead gather and zombies shamble forth.
  • The There – The Unearthly appreciate artwork celebrating depictions of them in their natural glory. Dragons, Unicorns, Angels, Djinn, and stranger beings meet here.
  • Goblin Market – Not one area, but several hidden regions where barter is the only method of trade. This is the only section where there are no merchant fees (other than an item freely given to the Market Master) and presents an excellent opportunity to test the reception of your wares on the audience. Several of the booth Vendors got their start in the Goblin Market of the Phoenix Faerie Festival.
